Great time at The Jug

Along with great racing, I got to see Yeah Baby, Mr. and Mrs. Bettor, Jug, Luke, Amy, Mutter, Holly, Joani, Ahren1, Jenny, Brian....a whole frigging host of folks that I love seeing every year.

Heading out to a high school football game tonight, after catching the Dover fair races this afternoon, and warming one up in a blistering 2:33. Was going to go 2:30 but I ran him off his feet and he made a break trying to pull my fat ass home in 32 seconds. He also ran scoring down for Jimmy Smith and in the race at the same place in front of the grandstand where he ran for me warming up. Two year-old colt trotters....  4pezz2

Sure was great getting to go the right way once again though!

Did anyone see 2 sheriffs on horseback mow slowly thru the mob in a very thin crowded aisle of human beings, (some, possibly intoxicated), during betting time for 2nd division of Jug? What idiots! They could have just as easily gone around behind barns to get to their destination without causing havoc, but chose to endanger everyone. Probably fishing for another arrest to fill their quota. MORONS!

What's even worse; woman detained after Jugette & then arrested. Family tie to Brown Stable just trying to just get picture taken. She did shove cop, but why even detained? Last race, so no horses on track while crossing. MORONS!

Does Delaware county, Ohio think they're better than the rest of us? They probably make more money off us humans by arresting us, than income from Jug: at least, seem to try to.

Amy was safe.  Her little sister.....................not so much.  You are right.  last race of the day.  Jugette final. brother in law wins it and she was not allowed to  go across the track for pic.  She took one for the team tho.  while the cops were arresting her ,  Brians' son in law was able to get Brians' Mom out of her chair and escort her across the track  for the win pic while the cops were cuffing Stacy.  They were a bit late for all the whoopla but the family waited and the best photo man  in the world, Brad Conrad,  stayed and got the whole family in the win pic. Great Memories!!!

Uhhhh, I've been in 2:05, last half in 1:00 seconds in a jug cart. Many, many quarters in 28 seconds, many halves in less than a minute.

Just my personal best for the past 5 years or so.  rflmao1 rflmao1

Hanging with Lvgaryd for two days... Seeing Mr and Mrs. Bettor... Chatting with Dave Brower again.... Hanging with Brown Jug Jr.. aka Luc  Thanks to Peter Koch for the hook up...

Then the Capper.....  It was like the parting of the great sea..

Dragging my completely empty cooler out of the fairgrounds and I see a golf cart coming right at me..... Then two of the finest women of Delaware harness (and facebook) racing appear .....  There they were the legendary Amy Hollar and the Jugette queen Jennifer Brown...   bowdown bowdown    I thought I saw Jesus that day..
