By Bill Finley

The Meadowlands will re-open in just 23 days and driver
Brian Sears says he will be there when the 2012 racing
season begins Jan. 6. But with the quality of racing at the
Meadowlands haven fallen in recent years and with other

Shame on you Mr Sears.

You have made millions off this sport, and now when the sport really needs you, you are worried about supporting yourself. thumbsdown thumbsdown

If the purse structure is as close to what it was last year, I totally agree

I am going to disagree here.
Sears like every driver owes the sport his best effort every time he is out on the track. The drivers should also be model citizens off the track. As near as I can tell Sears has a pretty good record.
The drivers will never become stars despite repeated tries to promote them.Sears drove at the Meds for yrs and it still went down hill. The same goes at every other track.Horses are the stars and what most people bet on.If the horses are not at the Meds racing for good money and the betting that follows with it it will not matter who is driving there.

As far as I am concerned....goodbye!!! Hopefully the trainers will reward the drivers that stay at the BigM during stakes season. The BigM jumpstarted his career into the elite. How soon we forget! So like I said.....Goodbye!

My sentiments exactly!!!

He should have waited and seen how it all works out before shooting his mouth off with his idiotic comments 3 weeks prior to the BigM opening.

No player ever rises to the top solely on talent.  They're molded by outer forces.....
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

I agree he comes off like he is making any excuse and sounds quite stupid IMO. They go slower on the

turns ? I bet they do but they are also a lot more bunched up on a half. Hey if any person can go down

the street and do the same job for more money how can you blame them ?

I have no problem with how Sears worded anything.it sounds to me like he was being honest about how he felt.

I agree Tross.  Whether you like him or not like him , you can take his remarks as positive or negative. which of these  you chose  will tell whether you like him or not like him.  He could be a politician. LOL
