March Madness vs Meadowlands Mania
« on: March 24, 2014, 05:57:48 AM »
im lost either way.
gone are the days where i knew the horses some days without even picking up a program.
the same goes for men's basketball.behind all the tatoos i have no idea who most guys are.coaches are the same even with the merry go aorund they play.there was no one else available that auburn had to hire bruce pearl ?  4pezz2
i would have never heard of some of the teams if they had not won this weekend.
i filled out zero brackets because i did not watch a single game all season
racing only 2 days a week most of the meet makes the racing hard to follow.after being accustomed to the fastet racing on earth the slow races bore me now.
gone are the days when i could just auto toss guys like steve smith.
maybe i should just be thankful ken iulo has notbeen  listed yet this year. rflmao1
maybe it is just me getting older but i had just had to vent.

I remember the days when both Chicago and the Big M would race 6 days a week.  I would go to Balmoral every Tues. and Thurs. and always bet the Big M on those days also.  Now, both are shadows of their former status.  You can throw WEG into that too.  So, we have a bunch of 1/2 and 5/8 tracks that are putting up the big money.   I don't like betting the small tracks.  I have cut way down on the number of tracks I play and the number of races as well as money wagered.  I expect that trend to continue.
Foul play has always gone on.  If you think there was little hanky panky going on in the 60's, 70's and 80's think again.  Things were different in that drivers and trainers tended to stay put.  Now the big stables have horses all over the place.
