was the no dq the right call ?
« on: September 01, 2013, 07:35:28 AM »
i thought boom boom ballykeel should have been dqed last night.either way the result would not have hurt my wagers last night.
to me it looked like morrill statred to go a little to his right and then came back to his left.imo  the 1 started to come out when morril started right and then hit him when he came back left causing the confusion.
morrill's horse was done but those to his outside still might have gotten a piece

If he gets days he should've come down.  I doubt if he gets days.

thumbsup thumbsup thumbsup How can he get days with no DQ ? The Judges have spoken.

I did not see the head on but from the regular view it does look like he pushes JM into the other

horse and then bounces back into the 1 horse. idunno

If you want to see a bad call look at Balmorals 2nd race replay, Oostings horse jumps in the air and

gallops through the wire and they leave him up and don't even chart a break  idunno noway

I think he should have come down myself. The head on shot was definitely a lot different then the side shot. I didn't expect him to be dq'd though, they hardly ever dq anyone up there especially for interference.

I thought he should've come down.  They did say that no one filed an objection or claimed foul, which is probably why he didn't come down. Perhaps Morrill was being nice and didn't think he was going to win anyway.

I wonder if Some Major Beach had a shot to win had he not hooked wheels. He still finished 3rd.

I had him bet and I thought he was coming down, although Morrill was all over the track floundering. Glad he didn't, but thought he would be placed.

Metro Pace Losing Quotes

“My horse raced good, but he was a little hot tonight. Leaving the gate he was a little wound up and wasn’t easy to rate on the front. I didn’t want to grab into him too much and him make a break. He being to hot definitely cost us the race in my opinion.”

Yannick Gingras on Western Vintage (2nd)

“My horse raced absolutely awesome. If we didn’t get interfered with I think I win it. I was thinking I’d be second, but then Yannick’s horse fought tough and we ended up third. I thought I’d be no worse than second, but that’s racing.”

Doug McNair on Some Major Beach (3rd)

Go down to page 3 and read the twitter posts from Mike Hamilton and Ken Middleton about this. They all thought he was coming down
