O/T NCAA keeps getting dumber

im not sure who is dumber in the ncaa.the student athletes taking pottery classes or the guys running the ncaa

suspending someone for 1/2 a game ?   

these same clowns told us yrs ago they did not want a playoff systemor more than 10 games and a bowl game because it would hurt the athlete's education
now the season starts in aug and ends in mid jan
the dopes at penn state did not think anything was wrong when sandusky was in the shower w boys ?
i am a norte dame fan but is there a bigger whore when it comes to ncaa football ? at least the other share the monies with their pimps / confereences and the ncaa
the same w basketball why not invite everyone to the tournament ?

sorry for rant but i cannot get over a 1/2 game suspension.
in high school my brother was a very good linebacker.so good he did not show up for practice all week but still palyed after the first series of downs.he had a good job making good money as a senior.
that is what the 1/2 game suspension of johhny football reminded of.

I cant believe anyone believes he signed that many items but didn't get paid to do it..I know theres no smoking gun so if it doesn't fit you must acquit...I think I've heard that somewhere

As you know his parents have a lot of money and lawyers!!! I could imagine them taking the NCAA to court and maybe getting a judgement. Then the NCAA will lose a hell of a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!! This was to appease some people. NCAA is scared shit-less about paying these players. Just think this goes way beyond football too!!

In 1769 a Peoria Tribe warrior killed Ottowa Tribe war chief Pontiac. The Northern Tribes retaliated and killed off the Illiniwek Tribe.

In 1926 The Univ. of IL adopted Chief Illiniwek (who never existed) as their revered team mascot.

In 2005 the NCAA decided that The Chief was politically incorrect and abusive and wouldn't allow the U of I to host any post season games.

In 2007 the Univ. dropped the mascot so as not to offend the tribe that had been extinct for 238 years and NCAA sanctions were lifted. (and the revenue stream resumed) Birds sang, flowers bloomed, and the benevolent NCAA kindly held dominion over the peaceful lands.

Meanwhile in North Carolina, the University of North Carolina at Pembroke Braves were threatened by the NC2A for their politically incorrect name and mascot. When it was pointed out to the NC2A thar UNCP was founded as an Indian school and that any attempt to denigrate the heritage would result in litigation (much as happened with the FSU Seminoles, a tribe best known for running Florida Bingo Parlors), the NC2A backed down.

As I remember, the Seminoles told the NCAA to shut the hell up because the tribe was making a ton of money from merchandise marketing and a split of the athletic depts. revenue. "We're not offended when we get'um plenty of wampum, Dude. Buzz off!"
