Heels on Wheels contest
« on: June 04, 2013, 07:39:48 AM »
A couple of years ago after one of my many calls from my son's school (pick him up, he's suspended again), I went car shopping as I despised my wife's Escalade and it's gas mileage. We usually lasted about 3 minutes in every car dealership and walked out as the lad hated everything but when we arrived in a Dodge dealer he saw a bright orange Challenger SRT8 and said "MINE", that was going to be his high school car when I was done with it. I said we'll see and proceeded to rap every fender and door and thought the car was extremely safe. I did not know at the time a 19 year old kid would run a red light 9 months later and total the car while T-boning me. The car was safe.

I took the brunt of it with a massive concussion but my daughter and her friend walked away unscathed. The car's frame was bent in 6 places but Geico (my carrier at the time and the other driver's insurance carrier) insisted they could repair it (my son's comment was "buff it out"). I was never going to drive that sports performance vehicle again after that wreck, especially at the speeds it was meant for.

After a massive battle and threats of letters everywhere, Geico finally relented, totaled the car and paid me, and a new Challenger SRT8 was ordered. I lost about $15,000 on the accident but when my 13 year old son saw his wrecked car that night with tears in his eyes I promised him a brand new one. Father's promises to children should never be broken. A new orange Challenger SRT8 was ordered and this time pictures taken with a stunning model thereafter. The next real threat to the car was Hurricane Sandy where our home was brutalized and is still not repaired (we're working on it), but not a lot of water got into the garage and the car was spared (it also helped us escape with all valuables a week after Hurricane Sandy hit as Long Beach was cold without food, water, electricity, light, you name it, we didn't have it but we did have FEMA representatives).

There's a contest on Long Island, Heels on Wheels, and our wheels made it into this round and any votes would be appreciated. Also my model, SuzyMae, was hit by a car in New York City yesterday and she's pretty banged up, I'm hoping we win and it cheers her up. She will receive 1/3rd of any purse money we win, if any, the same amount my photographer will get. My wife of course will receive $1,000. Old Jordan can only receive $666 of the $5,000 first prize if we win.

Doesn't matter to me as long as those around me are happy. Here's the link to the photos (scroll down):

There are some really nice photos in the contest of the model and the car.

I would have voted for any hot Asian woman modeling any car. Since there were none, of course I voted for JJ.

Jordan,

there are two things that can potentially beat you in this contest:

1.  One of the other contestants has a lot of friends vote for them.
2.  People will be turned off by your story.  It comes across as begging for votes and promising a car like that to a 12 year old for high school can turn a lot of people off.
