Here is a major problem I have with these people.  They are against corporate greed but I bet many of them have iPhones and other apple products, even though that company has a significantly higher profit margin than other companies.

Find some jobs that went overseas and offer them the job here, and I bet they would turn it down.

Well, I will say this.  I belong to a few forums and all of them have a good amount of non-harness posts.  That is why it is marked O/T.  If you don't want to read it don't.  This particular post has more hits than many of the harness posts I put up.  Harness fans and horsemen have varied interests and don't only "talk harness" to one another.   If Gary said he doesn't want non-harness posts, I would be more than happy to comply.  As far as I know he has said just the opposite.    P.S.--the PA boys  had put up their share of non-harness posts.   So, your claim that people don't come to a harness site  to read about stuff like this, in my opinion, doesn't hold much water.
The current dearth of posters has far more to do with the host problems than anything else.  Now that is taken care of, we can move forward.

I'll start posting my Northfield plays every time I go out.  I think it might be better though to put all the tracks that race on a particular night on one thread for the time being.

Jug did have the most amount of posts on its.net but he seems to post 30 or 40 times in a few day span and then disappears for a week.

I am as guilty if not more than anyone as far as going off topic but I think the

main problem is we only have this one category to post in until Gary gets it all

set up. I miss Donk, RBT and the whole Burke gang and though I am not betting

much I still love the sport and love to read what they had to say about racing

and handicapping, even though I am not in action much I still watch the entries

results and read just about every thing I can concerning our sport.

When the new website came online the intro specifically read that it was permissable to post about ANYTHING. If there's something you don't want to read then don't. You can't demand censorship over anything that you don't want to hear, unless you will accept the same rules.

I don't watch The Sox, Blackhawks, or Bulls but I don't bitch about it when others want to discuss their interests; I just skip over them.

I have established a political board here as an experiment.  We are moving toward election year and I think things will get hot and heavy. Hopefully most political posts will be made on the political board.

The neat thing about that is, we may even get additional members for that board that might actually become interested in harness racing.

Note: I do not intend to censor this board's posting subjects, but I would prefer the political stuff go in the political board.

I think that's kind of petty Pezz........it's almost like you've judged the few members here as unworthy of conversation........it doesn't take much to skip over the threads which don't interest you.......I skip over the gambling threads often............the board being shut down hurt but it will gain, and if it doesn't, oh well........I still intend to enjoy myself and the friendships gained.
