Delaware County Fair Seeks New Manager
« on: February 21, 2013, 07:10:27 PM »
I will happily take the position with a few requirements.

$100,000 per year, 10 year contract. Six weeks vacation per year, dental, health, and vision insurance comparable to what MGM gives me

I will work in Ohio for the months of May-October. If i get cold during those months, I may leave at any time other than one month before, during, and after the fair. I may or may not return at any time other than those months to make up for the three weeks I missed in the spring and summer.

I will work from my Las Vegas and Arizona offices the rest of the year.

They give me and for just me and my guitars the stage one night each year during the fair. I may choose to have Carrie sing backup for me or not, depending on the quality of the sound system.

Fairly simple demands. Let's git er done, Terry.

 thumbsup

Sounds like a reasonable deal to me, Gary!  They ought to jump all over it!   You did ask for a 10 year deal starting at $100 grand and that's where I think you missed something - need to account for at least a cost of living increase annually.  That or a automatic 5%.   Pretty normal stuff.   Just tell em', it may sound like a lot but with it comes All The Aggravation You Can Take!   Have fun and Good Luck!   Oh, who the heck will drive the water truck with you as the overall Big Kahuna?

I will still drive the water truck and/or tractor at Wooster fair.

Actually I have a great deal of knowledge of the aggravation fair managers go through. Even though you have only seen me in the racetrack part if the fair, I also do whatever Pete Armstrong needs me to do at Wooster. Bodyguard, money runner, extra eyes...I do it all for my home fair.
