Just when the Bears really look like they are putting it all together too  redrose

CHICAGO -- Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is expected to have surgery on his broken right thumb and is likely to miss the rest of the regular season, according to a source familiar with the situation.

Cutler passed for 286 yards and two touchdowns in a 31-20 victory over the Chargers, the Bears' fifth straight. It's unclear when he suffered the injury.

Cutler did not talk about an injury during his postgame comments to reporters.

Michael C. Wright and Jeff Dickerson cover the Bears for ESPNChicago.com and ESPN 1000.

A yearling kicked me when I tried to put a scalper on him and broke my thumb.(and some other things) It takes a while to get the strength back in your hand after it's been immobilized for weeks. And it aches like hell for long time, especially when the weather changes. Tough break for the Bears.

Yeah, but Cutler isn't 75 like you are!!! Hell, you're lucky to be able to roll out of bed in the AM.
