Best wishes to the happy couple.

HONOLULU (AP) — The actor best known for playing the TV character Gomer Pyle in the 1960s has married his male partner of 38 years.

Hawaii News Now (http://bit.ly/14tFM3U) reports Jim Nabors and his partner, Stan Cadwallader, traveled from their Honolulu home to Seattle to be married Jan. 15.

Gay marriage became legal in Washington state last month.

The 82-year-old Nabors says you've got to solidify something when you've been together as long as they have.

The couple met in 1975 when Cadwallader was a Honolulu firefighter. Cadwallader is 64.

Nabors says he's been open about his homosexuality to co-workers and friends but never acknowledged it to the media before.

Not really, they were together 37+ years but not married beautiful Ashley was married 11+ years. Everything changes once they get that ring.  hammerhead1

I will say I was SHOCKED to learn over Christmas Johnny Mathis is gay.

My grandmother is rolling over in her grave........but just like when my cousin married a black woman.....we'd tell her to get over it. 8)

Rock Hudson didnt have alot of frends.
But he did have Neighbors up the ass.

Jim Nabors was born in Alabama
But he was reared in San Fransisco.

That's like Bookie. I was shocked when I learned he has been gay for 50 years. Of course that's ok, but I was still shocked.

When I 1st read this I wanted to put on my liitle black dress and skip like school girl all the way to the stable. Then I realized it was 28 miles round trip and I probably would have to quit at the end of my block. That's why I could never climb Brokeback Mountain.
