It's Started.
« on: November 07, 2012, 02:38:08 PM »
This is only the start.  Expect a freefall.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/futures-fall-further-election-results-031550185.html

This will take a toll on more than just the "rich"  Most middle class taxpayers own stock in their IRAS. 401Ks, pension funds,
Hell, even unions have stock holdings.

Soon things like this will occur in the USA:

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/second-most-important-vote-week-144751638.html

Unlike Greece, there will be nobody to come to the aid of the USA.  Everyone seriously has to consider arming themselves and practicing using firearms if you want to be able to protect your family.

Yes, this is the kind of thing that 3WW & I have been chatting about for several years.

The sky is not falling yet but there is definitely the potential for it & I'm not sure that Romney could've avoided it either.  But I can definitely see how a panic can start & lead to a major free fall in the dollar & the stock market, even worse than 2008/9.

Let's just pray that sanity prevails.  bowdown

I was at a Schnucks Grocery Superstore this AM, and the Mgr was getting screamed at by employees that had been cut from full-time to 30hrs/week because that's the only way to get around the Obamacare mandates. It's going to be a mess.

After a long fight in the City Council of Chicago they finally let Wal-Mart build a store in a poor neighborhood that was declared a "food desert" and unemployment was around 50%. Today the employees (who are paid above minimum wage) declared that they weren't going to work on "Black Friday" ....biggest sales day of the year, unless they given a much better deal. I'll bet Wal-Mart wishes they hadn't wasted all that money to build the facility and put all those people to work. Hey Folks: YOU DIDN'T HAVE A JOB, NOW YOU WON'T AGAIN!

I am holding back.

Obviously alot of people are in shock and I am just not lashing out.
Need to take aweek and comprehend everything.

But make no mistake the depression/recession will be in full force by this summer.

This is what the people voted for though.

Hope everyone here or that I know is prepared and gets through it all.

I got one life and I will enjoy it.

The first time I could understand it. He fooled everyone.
This time I am just left speechless and in shock.

Friend of mine got a really nice horse today at Harrisburg. The beat goes on.

I dont knwo that america will ever return to being what it once was though.

Giss, I've been a student of the market for nearly 30 years & have been wrong way more than I've been right.

That said, I can make a case for a rising market starting with all of the work that needs to be done following Sandy and the continued low interest rate environment but can easily make a case for a 50% fall in the market, starting with the looming fiscal cliff, continuing into the HUGE European crisis, straight into the Iranian nuclear situation, which is liable if not likely to turn into the next Israeli war.

All I know is I'd be careful.

I agree with this.  However, last Monday I yanked 33% of my porfolio out of the market, anticipating the best interests of the USA losing the election.

I got a kick out of this.

Ohio is out because of Cleveland and PA is gone because of Philly.

The 100% has spoken.
