Mohawk Saturday 9/21
« on: September 22, 2012, 04:53:55 AM »
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Race 4 - Roccinate fits this bunch well. Has good speed and has raced well on this oval with a top driver. 6W5/9/1
Pick Four (5/6/9-2/6/9-6-1/4)

Race 6 - Warawee Needy looks to be firing on all systems now after setting a lifetime mark in two consecutive starts against older fores. Back in with 3 yr olds and no Micheal's Power to beat. No price here but solid. 6W1/4/5

Race 7 - looks to be a two horse race. Speed Again raced a huge back half no cover against this same class. That's the Life scored easily for me in last. Now goes to Moreau's barn. Can only get better?
Box these two with tri's 1/4 and 4/1 on top of 9/5/6

Race 8 got to go with Drop The Ball.Always goes a big effort. Only an elimination but she is the play. 2W10/1/4
Pick Four (2-4/5/9-4/6/7/9-4)

Race 13 my best bet is Odysseus Bluechip. Has too much speed for this bunch. Has a wicked brush and I'm looking for him to control this race. 3W6/2/9

Good luck to all!!!!

I'm almost hesitant to pick.... I literally have been destroyed the last two Mohawk cards. It's Nohawk for me lately. With that warning, I like these horse tonight:

1- World Cup. Handy horse that has faced and beat better than these.

2- Secretsother Nephew: drops back down to where he dominates.

3- Southwind Terror: has had 3 starts, 2 from post 10, and has been close each time. Has ability, good post and Filion. Box with Mach Pride.

4- Aled Hanover. Needed a start back on the big surface and raced well last week. All systems firing tonight.

5- The Principle. Went with a steady performer here. Have an awful long look at Wine Photo, he's taking a major drop in class.

6- Warrawee Needy should win if races to recent form. The big horse is coming around nicely. Play with 1,4 underneath in the exactors.

7- Major Hottie. Love this old warrior. He'll take them right down the road. He's a poor man's version of the Admiral. Box with Speed Again. Dollar tri box 1,4,5,9

8- Androvette. Wasn't as impressive as Drop the Ball in the elim but she's awesome at Mohawk and should be well spotted. Luc's driven her before but losing Tetrick hurts. A win tonight would make her a double millionaire.

9- Silver Eagle. Horse has been racing good, but is in tough tonight. Up the Credit could be large in his second start in this class as well.

10- Just Henry. Most will try Tarpon Hanover here but he's disappointed me a few times now although he gets tons of class relief. Just Henry has progressed nice and steadily. Box with Tarpon.

11- Misty Moonstone. When she draws inside she finishes no worse than third. Hoping for a nice trip and price.

12- Ideal Race looks the best in here.

13- Anderlecht: played him a couple times now, hopefully he pays off tonight.

Early Pick 4 looks like it will not pay a lot

$3 5 x 1,2,9,10 x 6 x 3,4,5,9

Race#4 Aled was 14 lengths out of it in his last start, and just missed. Class horse will not be that far back tonight and should win easy.

Race#6- Needy seems to be getting in shape and should handle this field. His confidence will continue to grow,.

I threw 10 across the board on him, should have hammered the horse.

If that wire gets there a foot and a half quicker, ole Dave is a much richer man. Still had all the gimmicks but it pays better with the old warrior on top.
