Why Obama Will Lose in a Landslide
By Wayne Allyn Root
May 30, 2012

Most political predictions are made by biased pollsters, pundits, or prognosticators who are either rooting for Republicans or Democrats. I am neither. I am a former Libertarian Vice-Presidential nominee, and a well-known Vegas odds maker with one of the most accurate records of predicting political races.

As an odds maker with a pretty remarkable track record of picking political races, I play no favorites. I simply use common sense to call them as I see them.

Back in late December I released my New Years Predictions. I predicted back then- before a single GOP primary had been held, with Romney trailing for months to almost every GOP competitor from Rick Perry to Herman Cain to Newt- that Romney would easily rout his competition to win the GOP nomination by a landslide.

I also predicted that the Presidential race between Obama and Romney would be very close until Election Day.

But that on Election Day Romney would win by a landslide similar to Reagan-Carter in 1980.

Understanding history, today I am even more convinced of a resounding Romney victory.

32 years ago at this moment in time, Reagan was losing by 9 points to Carter.

Romney is right now running even in polls.

So why do most pollsters give Obama the edge?

First, most pollsters are missing one ingredient- common sense. Here is my gut instinct.

- Not one American who voted for McCain 4 years ago will switch to Obama. Not one in all the land.

- But many millions of people who voted for an unknown Obama 4 years ago are angry, disillusioned, turned off, or scared about the future. Voters know Obama now- and that is a bad harbinger.

Now to an analysis of the voting blocks that matter in U.S. politics:

*Black voters. Obama has nowhere to go but down among this group. His endorsement of gay marriage has alienated many black church-going Christians. He may get 88% of their vote instead of the 96% he got in 2008. This is not good news for Obama.

*Hispanic voters. Obama has nowhere to go but down among this group. If Romney picks Rubio as his VP running-mate the GOP may pick up an extra 10% to 15% of Hispanic voters (plus lock down Florida ). This is not good news for Obama.

*Jewish voters. Obama has been weak in his support of Israel . Many Jewish voters and big donors are angry and disappointed. I predict Obama's Jewish support drops from 78% in 2008 to the low 60

I sure hope he is right!  I agree with what he has to say.  I know several of my friends who voted for Obama told me they where embarased by their action.
The hard liners on both sides cannot be swayed.  The majority in the middle will decide the election .  One person told me he voted for Obama because he didn't like Bush.  Last week he told me  that Obama makes even Bush look good.  I have said many times that Bush was a big disappointment to me.  Gave in too much to the Dems.  But, Obama makes even Jimmy Carter look good.

We have but one realistic choice in November that will actually make one bit of difference if he is elected: Gary Johnson.

The author of this article makes one HUGE error: he uses a logical point of view.

Americans have become(?) idiots.  As I've said before, 50 years from now, kids will be learning that the US voters chose Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush & Bush, then were attacked by a Muslim named Osama, went to war with a Muslim named Hussein & voted for a Muslim named Hussein Obama.   slaphead

Anyone who thinks this will be a landslide either way is in denial & watches too much Dick Morris.

As for Gary Johnson, you really need to get over it just as Democrats had to get over Paul Tsongas.  idunno

I'm afraid it is a terminal illness!  I do agree that few people base their vote on loigic.
As for me, I'll send another contribution to the Romney campaign soon.  I never contributed a cent to Bush and I think the last candidate I sent a contribution to was Reagan.

I did get a nice "thank you" letter for my contribution.  I'll have you know that I'm a great American!

Hey when people wake up and realize that voting for the lesser of two evils is not the same as voting for the best man for the job, we will have a third party.

Only in the USA are people so ignorant as to allow the media to influence their vote. Thankfully I will be dead in a few years before this country goes completely to hell.

I heard the other day that between both campaigns they have raised over a trillion dollars , the most in US history and Mit has 70% in his favor.

I would have preferred Rick Santorum but in my eyes they are all crooks.
I really have no motivation to vote anymore there is no one credible anymore.

Just my 2 cents

All the money they raised and maybe .5% talks about what good they will do while the other 99.5% is about how bad the other guy is.

My vote in IL is virtually worthless, because the idiots here will continue to vote for the pols that hand out the Cotton Candy. Regardless, I will head to the polls and vote angainst Obama. My conscience won't allow me to do otherwise.
Somewhere in Kenya a village is missing it's idiot.
