Casie Coleman's big Western Ideal filly, Sarandon Blue Chip, impressed again tonight. last week David Miller scooted up the inside with her and split Rockin Belle and Babe Per View right before the end. Tonight Sarandon was the 2-1 second choice to 3-5 Pirouette in the NJSS final. Pierce pulled up beside her with Pirouette to the half and hounded her until the final sixteenth when she finally cried uncle and gave up the chase. Miller won in hand with Sarandon in 50.3.

Looks like American Jewel, Economy Terror, Cookie and company have a tough new competitor in their division.

The most impressive performance in quite some time, IMO.  This was just her 2nd lifetime start.

Sarandon is eligible to the Fan Hanover, the eliminations for which are Saturday. American Jewel, Economy Terror, Big McDeal, Romantic Moment and Pirouette are all staked to it. Looking forward to that one.

Sarandon's world comes crashing down in her Fan Hanover elimination. She followed Pierce and Pirouette into the last turn but was tripping all the way around. The big filly looked like a different animal than the one we saw last week. Sarandon finished sixth at 3-5, so she's out of the final.

Tetrick won off a ground saving drive behind Takter's Romantic Moment. Pierce held second with Pirouette.
