For the past 6 weeks attempts have been made to secure a table at Woodbine for the Breeder's Crown.   Each phone call the response was "no reservations are accepted until October 14th."    Today when an attempt was made to secure a table Woodbine staff informed horseplayers that "All tables are reserved for horsemen and owners."

Do tracks know what hospitality is?

Screw the god damned horsemen, they cheat and stiff and set races up.   They are 90% lowlife pricks.

Screw the damn owners who hold there noses up to horseplayers.   Most can't spell horse and ask there trainers to do everything they can including doping horses to win races.

You know the problem with this game and why it is going downhill.   We are babying the god damned people who ran it in the ground.

I hope Woodbine looks like a bunch of chumps on Breeder's Crown day.   I hope the starting car breaks down.   I hope the track lights fail.

I am praying Armageddon strikes Woodbine that day, they deserve it.

I just placed a call to WEG........there are several dining options available on Breeders Crown evening but yes, there is a section for horsemen who are participating in the nights events.

The girl was very nice I spoke to.  In fact they are filling up quickly and if I would make a definite reservation tomorrow I would probably be put on the waiting list and will know a week before the event if our party could be accommodated.

Again I was very specific that we did not have a horse participating.

I'd rather watch on my computer.  The track is so far away, you can't stand by the rail and see a lot.  I always like to be close to the horses.

That is kind of why I like the half mile racing.  Get to see all the action.

Guys seriously, they don't care about gamblers at all.   I don't mean to attack all horsemen but my god without gamblers the sport would be nothing at all.

Well now that the slots are out there, don't seem to need the gamblers at all now do they ?  Have you looked at some of the handles..
Need, owners, trainers, drivers etc...product is more important than the gambler.
Even "lowlife pricks"   :o :o :o :o o
Why the f ing need to resort to that type of name calling  ????? For without these so called, lowlife pricks, you would be betting on cockroach races.... ;D ;D ;D

Sorry but the WEG circuit cares about the gambler! They are not like the other racinos they actually promote the horses. They actually post what they handle every night, and keep track of what they handle for the year compared to the previous year. Just because Jo Schmo wants a table for The biggest night in harness racing ( When everyone who is involved in racing is going to be there) sorry just doesn't work that way.

And to say that the people that will be sitting there don't gamble, now that is comical.

THEREIN lies the answer to this thread...Jo Schmo...Not someone who has skin in the game.
