Kesmodel Out at Meadowlands and Yonkers

Though his 105-day suspension
issued by the New York State Racing
and Wagering Board has expired,
Mark Kesmodel has joined
the list of trainers that are not welcome
at the Meadowlands, track
operator Jeff Gural has confirmed.
Harness Racing Update has also
confirmed that Kesmodel is not being
allowed to participate at Yonkers.
The Kesmodel-trained
Anndrovette (Riverboat King), who
went on to win a divisional championship,
tested positive for the drug
oxymetazoline following an April 1,
2011 appearance in the Matchmaker Series at Yonkers.
Oxymetazoline is a decongestant found in products like
Afrin.
Kesmodel had his first post-suspension starter March 23
and has since started horses at Chester and Pocono.
