She had no excuse in the Overbid final. POAS benefited from a perfect trip but still had no pop at the end.

She had to need a few starts sure and she was and probably still is a great horse.  I was a bit perplexed by putting down the rest of the field by calling her a superior animal.

Put On A Show just crushed the field in the F&M open at Woodbine. Jamieson took back to fourth with her at the start, while Voelz blew to the top and cut the first three-quarters. POAS dawdled around gapped fourth until JJ took her out and exploded past the field into the last turn. She was under a snug hold down the stretch.Modern Connection came late for second. The 1:50 mile was the fastest by an aged mare in Canada this year.

Put On A Show drew the six this week in the Woodbine F&M open and should have no problem based on what she did last week. Laneside Lexus, who didn

It's rare to see a driver opt off a reigning Breeders Crown champion, but Put on a Show is quite the mare.  It would be nice to see her return to top form.

I believe Brennan mentioned somewhere that he lost the drive on Real Nice because he chose to drive another horse in a qualifier. Some trainers are funny that way.

Jamiesson has apparently been very much involved with getting Monkey back to the races earlier than anticipated, so I imagine it's all been worked out.

Surprisingly, Jody won a race last night.  I'm guessing that he didn't want to work Put on a Show too hard, but on a night favoring speed, I'm surprised that she got up to win off those fractions.

Jamieson carried Davis and Laneside Lexus an eighth with Put On A Show tonight, then let that one cut out a glacial pace. The opening quarter went in :26.2, but Davis crawled through the middle half in :58.4--:29.3 and :29.1. With an eighth to go JJ pulled Put On A Show up beside Laneside, then proceeded to crush her by five in :51.4. They finished in :26.3. POAS was 3-5 and LL was 9-5.
