I felt so bad for this kid yesterday his 1st TV appearance and it couldn't have gone any worse for him.

At least he knows how I feel every week.   4pezz2 shootme

Ouch! You can hurt yourself bowling.  My sister-in-laws husband stuck at the foul line a year ago and tore some ligaments.  Had to have an operation and spend two months in a rehab center.
Still can bend his right knee only 80%  I don't bowl anymore because of my back. (I used a 5 step approach!)  Did see the 300 game on the PBA tour Sunday.

My highest ever was 288...for three games.  rflmao1 rflmao1

I hit my left ankle two times in a row while releasing the ball from my right hand. I know bowling is a violent contact sport!

I felt bad for him, too.
Gary,
I did the same thing practicing one day about 3 weeks ago. I thought I busted my ankle. It is still black and blue.
It did not, however, stop me from practicing.
6 days later I bowled the game of my life 253 and my first 600 series.  thumbsup

Of course, back to reality the next week 444 series.   thumbsdown

Did you fall down when you whacked your ankle?  rflmao1 rflmao1  Damn that hurts like a m.f. !

Congratulations on the great series. I think my all time high was actually in the low very 400s, and one of the three games I bowled a 203 or something like that. I have never bowled very good.

I picked up bowling again after a 15 year layoff.  Horsemen have a league every Tuesday night in Florida. I dug my Dexters out of my bowling bag in the basement and they were horridly stinky and moldy so I bought a pair of "right handed" shoes online.  I had no clue of what they would do, just knew I hate wearing rental shoes, as my feet are narrow and the thought of wearing someone else's shoes makes my skin crawl...they were very cute red and white striped, but...the first time I wore them and my first approach, I stuck like I was wearing glue on my shoes  idunno

I had to go get rentals   thumbsdown  and found out I was way out of practice with games of 132, 125 but by the third game I was starting to feel my rythym and a few beers with a 165..I use to carry a 172 average..not too bad for the ladies in Upper Friday nights.....

The league is a fun league so most of us are just havin fun, some approaches and "launches" you see make you giggle rflmao1 and you realize you can't be any worse... after the 4th week we were on top and I told the team clearly we still needed practice in which they rolled their eyes and sent me back north  rflmao1

rflmao1   hey dumbass, if you are still going to bowl now that you are home, take a wire paint brush to the bottom of your new shoes. It will free up the slide sole and you won't stick anymore.

I am a lot like the Rain Man on the roulette wheel. Never quite got like Tommy Chong. I just hate smoking anything that much! Not saying I have not puffed on some weed within the past few weeks or so, just not to the same extent as Tommy. I don't do it to get screwed up per se. I do it for pain relief, your honor.  8)

At ALL fine bowling establishments and parlors!! rflmao1 rflmao1 rflmao1 rflmao1 rflmao1 Truthfully now you can change your heels, slide pads, ect. They SHOULD HAVE LEFT BOWLING ALONE!!!! With the hard rubber bowling balls or plastic. There's something wrong when you have a guy that only bowls ONCE a week and still ave. 218!!!!!!!!! That was before my neuropathy set in. Now I can't walk in a straight line twice!!

to about 172   idunno But now I started all over and am working on a whole new approach and new

Damn you caught me, thought you were working on those damn books ? I'll have to call B and tell him

you have too much time on your hands  dorkusinterruptus  They have had left and right handed shoes

for  40 years that I know of and if you bought right handed and need left handed the soles won't help

so you'll need new shoes go to bowlingball.com they have some really good deals if you want you can

probably get a sliding sole glued or however they attach them to your left sole at a bowling pro shop.

Something that may or may not help you. When the lanes break down you just don't move a board. I found out with the resin balls that I had to move like 5 boards and that did the trick.

You could also move INSIDE into the Oil.....this will increase early slide and cut down on Friction.....but that's a whole other story rflmao1

haven't seen that yet with the resin bowling balls. Sure if you throw it straight with no revs let it slide and leave 5-7's
