I played Melvyn at those long odds last week. He rode the rail but took a bit too long to find room to just miss. While Melvyn is a nice one who can pace sub 150 if needed he's no match for Elmo IMO.

I don't follow Woodbine much but I'm a big fan of aged pacers so I'm definitely following this series. Thanks again for the analysis Elgin.

I was right, Melvyn paced sub 150. I was also wrong - Melvyn got a nice cover trip and just got past Elmo. Golden Rec hasn't really been challenged and I doubt he will get away with a 30.4 second quarter again. Should be a good Final.

What impressed me the most about Golden Receiver up at Woodbine is how he won the first round on a night with a strong closer bias.  thumbsup
