Big M Handicapping Sat. 12/6
« on: December 05, 2014, 03:40:31 PM »
I will be on the road early and late tomorrow so looking for some early picks so I can get to the OTB by Noon.

Mostly looking for opinions on the Late Pick 4: races 7-10.

I've liked Doctor Butch the last 2 weeks and not going to back off him now that he has the rail in the 6th.

Any thoughts?

Race 3- Pick Four (6/7/9/10-3/7/9-1/4-2/3)

Race 5- Major Bombay has had a few needed starts after a layoff. Horse has some back class and trainer looks to have him ready tonight. My best bet. 1W4/10/7

Race 6 - looks to be plenty of outside speed here. I'm looking for a price and Dapper Dude fits well. He was totally blocked in his last at Woodbine. He may be in a good spot turning for home and ready to pick off some tiring horses at a nice price. 2W3/8/9

Race 9 - Roar takes a nice class drop and he'll be able to out close this if the pace is fair. 7W6/4/3

Race 10 - Sparky Mark is a tough one who had a tough trip in last. Drops in class and gets Callahan from Marcus Miller. That's big. Should be in the engine tonight. 9W1/3/2

Good luck to all!!!

Here ya go, MM:

Things got a lot less predictable last night at M1 as the rain continued to affect the track.

More rain expected throughout the day and night today.  On nights like this, I prefer to include runners from both on and off the pace due to the tiring surface.

Race 6 - 3,9,1      8,4($)

GOLDEN RECEIVER should be leading the charge for the first 3/4's.  SPEED AGAIN will have to blast to have any shot tonight.  WAKE UP PETER and DOCTOR BUTCH will be flying late.

Race 7 - 4($),5,3($),6      8,1,7

Speed will come from TOP GEAR and DRAGON LORE.  HERE COMES SWIFTY, LONEWOLF CURRIER, and K-LEES SHAKENBAKE will try to rally from off the pace.

Race 8 - 4,5,3     8,9,7

Tough race to trip handicap.  Speed likely coming from BETTER THAN YOU, ROCK ON MOE, and SHOOTER'S DREAM.  OK COMMANDER should get a nice trip grinding off cover.

Race 9 - 4($),3,7,8($$)    5,9

Lots of question makes in this race.  BLATANTLY BEST continues to burn money.  MIGHTY YOUNG JOE fits very well with these.  ROAR is more like a "meow".  ROLLWITHITHARRY doesn't seem to look ready yet.  If you want a shot-in-the-dark longshot, it would be HILARIOUS HALO, who likes this track and should be coming off the pace with Smith aboard, perhaps fitting this bias.

Race 10 - 1,3,4,9      8,6($)

DEDI'S DRAGON should find the lead with GAMBLER'S TALE and SPARKY MARK possible looking for early position.  VOICE OF TRUTH loves M1 and IAM BONASERA should be looking for cover coming from off the pace.

Track isn't as tiring as Fri night. Speed is holding better. Not seeing any closers coming from way back. Stick with pace stalkers that can shake free late.

Good luck Champ. Just logged on to see the first leg of the PK4. Don't like the off track so I'll just be watching other than maybe the FFA.

Great job guys! bowdown bowdown

Really wished that City Pie had gotten up in the 5th. Came from too far back and Yannick tripped out nicely.
