I think that it's pathetic that they groom the surface to produce these ridiculous miles at this time of year.  Might as well add Sosa and Bonds to the HOF.  Oh wait, Pocono has that covered.

 

A clay track is always faster than a stone dust track except when it rains. It is like running on a treadmill vs running on concrete-the surface gives the horse energy back.

I just happened to catch the Hambo promo  ......... $5 admission  $10 to sit in the bleacher seats .... and this one really floored me $44.95 for the buffet

Northfield's biggest day of the year had free admission, free $5 match play bet and a contest for betting vouchers throughout the night... and only one food stand open in the grand stand.
