Village Farm, Gage Ellis and Easton 1952

Somebody is looking intently for information on the former farm.

This older thread ( Sat Coffe Break )

For horsey folks the primary stallion at the early-Village Farm (Langhorne, PA) was Abbedale (grandsire of Adios via Hal Dale; nothing more needs saying.)

The PA Village Farm was sold in 1951 and Ellis Family purchased a much smaller farm in Easton, MD.

Here's two scans of the barn from the Dec 10, 1952 Harness Horse mag (NOTE; these images are merely placed temporarily):

For some years I had ongoing communication with one of the Ellis daughters, although I've not heard from her in some while. Her older sister was still living at that time. Her brother was deceased.

I've also a 1982 Hoof Beats article (by Bruce Stearns) on the former property of Village Farm Langford.

After the passing of Gage Ellis in 1959 there was a Dispersal Sale of most of the stock at Easton, Md.
