I like Midnight Hawk. Saw his work the other day and he broke off 6 lengths behind Awesome Baby and had no trouble catching and passing her.

Coach Q's horse (and others) is the one to beat.  And the boys are supposed to be at SA after the Hawks take care of the Coyotes in Phoenix Friday night.

Heard Gary Steven's horse Candy Boy could be the real thing and might make for an interesting Exacta box.

Midnight Hawk...it'll be interesting to see if he rates, if he battles with Chitu all the way around then I can see him getting beat.

Can't see two Baffert trained horses burning each other out, especially in a 3 YO stake race. Now Candy Boy has been running behind Shared Belief, (2nd), Tap It Rich (2nd to him) and Tap It Rich was one of the fav's in the Breeders. He also ran decent to New Years Day, the Breeders winner.

Well both horses have shown they want to be real close to the pace or on the lead and Chitu stretching out his 108 6f speed will be out early. Midnight Hawk missed the start terribly in his first start and still rushed up to be on the 45 pace going 7.5 furlongs.

I still say the best horse won today. Candy Boy had every right to win. If you would have reversed the trainers names with BB on Candy Boy then CB would have been 6/5 and Midnight Hawk would have been 2-1!

Loved the way Candy Boy looked today, and he looks like he wants to run all day....Midnight Hawk is still very green, he doesn't break well, and doesn't really settle in, he always wants to pull towards the front and might not like going any further. Chitu raced pretty well stretching out, didn't expect him to not have the lead and still be around for 2nd.
