Yup. Swisher and Brett Myers as well. The word around Cleveland is that these guys want to play for Terry Francona and that is why they are all signing. Hey I'm all for trying retreads. A couple of them might be ok. Bourn was one hell of a pickup though!!

Bourn is a good deal at that price, mostly because his agent Boras misread the market on what he's worth.

Franco will make a difference but those other 4 guys?  Might have a better chance with Moe, Larry, Curly and Shemp out there.

The last two years they were at the top til the middle/end of June. They just go back to reality after the all star break.  This team didnt need a manager that lets his team have a meltdown in the second half.

This time last year, the computer experts said the White Sox would be lucky to win 70 games.  I guess removing the wart that became Ozzie Guillen didn't count.

So the fact they were alive until the final week of the season proves that baseball and horse racing have a lot of common - anything can happen.
