Sad Day
« on: October 16, 2012, 12:00:04 PM »
Sometimes I wonder what God was Thinking.....
Depressing news to start the day at work today. An Ethiopian girl that works on my shift, and is usually in my pit, passed away last night after having a baby.

      You will be dearly missed.........

Just got back from the graveside service,,,,   OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    What a tight knit community the Ethiopians have here in Vegas.. I'll bet there was close to a 1000 people. Women whaling and throwing themselves....  Almost all the women wore a shawl and used some of it to cover their head and mouth.  One of the priests holds an umbrella over the casket.
I wondered what significance the umbrella was and then I GOOGLED it. The umbrella symbolizes the Holy Ghost.
R.I.P Selame,,,  You had many friends and family,,,  I hope your child grows up to be as nice as you were... redrose
