My Little Brown Jug/Crack Pipe Story

I farted around too long to get our usual room at the Super 8 motel in Marysville,OH so I found one in Columbus that was 10 miles closer to the track for a good price.Woohoo! I drove through the posh neighborhood Worthington, and was very near my motel. A couple of blocks I reached it in a VERY nasty area of Westerville.

We check in and get our room key-cards. The room looked fine, and as I'm in the bathroom, my Bride groans, "I just stepped in something wet... God I hope it's water."

Next morning I have a coffee craving (and I'm not a big coffee drinker) so I set about making some. I can't get the damn thing to work so my Bride takes over. Well, it won't work so she gets to looking it over. It won't work because the remains of a broken glass crack-pipe is lodged in the well where the water goes in. She snatched the plug and stormed into the office. The clerk looked at it, and said maintenance would get another right away. That never happened. So I went to the room with the continental breakfast and got a cup and a bowl of cereal. Either a guest or staff member let non-guests into an exterior door, and a horde of 'homeys' came into the room and took everything with them, while the little hispanic lady hid in the adjoining room.

We went to the Jugette for the day. When we got back that night our door cards had been deactivated. (we paid for 3 days) Two young ladies walked up and said they could let me in another door, so I left my Bride with our stuff and went with them. Sure 'nuff someone was holding a door open for us. I walk in and a great big hispanic guy walks up behind me. One of the girls starts petting my arm and telling me she's short on her nightly rent for her and her little girl, and could make me very happy if I'd cover that. I hot footed it down the hall where my Bride was watching through the little glass panel in the outside door.

I went to the office and told the clerk I was leaving the dump and wanting the balance taken off my credit card. He did, but insisted that I bring the door cards back. When I took them back he was curled up in a chair asleep, so I left them on the counter.

It was an adventure, but I still had a great time at the Jug the next day.

If I was a crack head I would've been pissed. Don't leave me a broken one!

It didn't ruin our trip, but was a pain in the kiester. But, hey... you'll have that in life. We had a fun time with a bunch of nice people. It's hard to not like the Delaware bunch.

Wtf!!!! We had a perfectly good table that turned into a bed. You should have just came back to the track / camp site. Did you at least book the Super 8 for next year I'd love to book a room at the Travel Inn at the track gate so we could have real baths and showers instead of the RV showers and chasing after the pump truck daily

  Motel 6 is 20 minutes away and is in a nice area. I would suggest the area to all. There is also a Red Roof and another more expensive place too. Of course Bettor is always welcome to cum to old Gary D 's room for a shower and a massage.

It is one of the nicer Motel 6s I have stayed at (other than the quality of other guests, like our fearless leader). There are actually several more expensive places right there (and a Ruth's Chris).

Westerville? Granted I know nothing about the area but reading this makes sense. My paycheck comes from my companie's corporate HQ in Westerville. I've always said they were a bunch of crackheads there. Turns out I was right.

I passed a nice looking Motel 6 just a ways north of us on Rt 23, is that the one?

The construction on Rt 23 was slowing traffic alot, but we left in plenty of time.

This one is at the junction of 23 and 270 in Worthington I think. Not New York New York hotel, bit decent for around $50 per night.

Yup, that's the one I meant. Looked like a nice area. I can still run over to Westerville if I ever need a crack-pipe.

Super 8 sent me the usual request for comments about my stay. They may quit sending those to me after I unloaded on that one. I did give them some good advice: Send a 'secret shopper' from corporate to stay there a couple of days. I doubt he/she would use the 2nd day.
