Thinking Out Loud didn't really have anything much in either heat.  You just can't drive Randy Waples or Mark MacDonald in those big races.  Zeron luckily got free early enough to win his heat.  One of the few 2 hole winners from both days at Delaware.

waples only won the north America cup with him and only drove the reigning horse of the year. You and i will disagree on this all the time, but you don't give the Canadian drivers enough respect.

albi...you are so rite...i get sick of seeing silva and trophy wife constantly smoozing thier way to the front to get in the pic...i could respect him much more if he didnt ridr in to buy after the horse has already made it..i think that is a chicken way of owning...but his money is green!!9 didnt he or his company go  bankrupt a few years back??

I really like RnR Dance and have played the horse all year, regardless of post or odds.  Hit a couple of times at nice odds, and lost some also.  This horse has had the worst luck of the draw this year.  Get's more bad posts than any of the others and does so often.  I lost on him last Saturday, and see he has the 12 hole this week.  Will I bet him again...damn right.

You are correct.  Other than Jody, I am not convinced that any of them are in the top 10.  Certainly, plenty of the top horses are Ontario bred & many of their drivers have had 1st crack at some of the best horses.  They did try JC on TOL but I cannot classify JC as top 10 any more either.

When they come to one of our better tracks & drive a decent % of winners, I will concede that argument.  But not until then.  I recall Dube going up there a few years ago & lead for one season.  And Dube probably never reached 10% at M1.

Far from "didn't really have anything". Got away 6th in the first heat and ended up having to go 4 wide around dull cover. Not an ideal trip on the half. In the final got a nice 2nd over trip but again had to go 3-wide but didn't gain, or lose, in the stretch. Waples did nothing wrong - horse was done in by half-mile racing, same as ARRDance. Put either of these on the rail and I'd bet one of them would have been your Jug winner. The best horse doesn't always win on the half.

Absolutely agree. Tried like hell to get the lead in that 2nd heat of the Jug into that 25 and change opening quarter. Yes, I bet him in there. From a gambler's perspective this is one more reason I may try to beat him on Saturday with Thinking Out Loud. Dance has gone a lot of tough miles. Loud went two Jug heats as well but wasn't firing out. Will be fun to watch.

Congratulations on your big winner last week.  Since I almost never bet 2-1, I could never have had him.  So far, Thinking Out Loud has been as inconsistent as any of them.  Actually that covers most of them - inconsistency. 

You handed over lots of excuses in the Jug, considering you feel Waples did "nothing wrong".  Sorry, but finishing 3rd or 4th after good cover trips is not what I call good, for a closer.

Either Waples did little right or the horse is very suspect but you can't sit 2nd over following a 25 1st 1/4, finish evenly & develop an excuse. 

Maybe Al Gore can come up with a "low altitude" excuse.

The Jug day was very windy in that last turn and nobody who got away 5th or worse won that day, most winners were on the lead or was the 1st up horse if he timed his move right, so no I don't think TOL raced bad in Delaware. Sometimes your style of racing can beat you and being a closer the conditions of that day were against him , it happens .

I was told RRD is going to have throat surgery done this week and more than likely is done for the year.
