If you know of cheating and have evidence, of course you should report it or shut your mouth.  Problem is that too many average fans have doubts about the sport, but are not enough of "insiders" to have real proof.  Some of these doubts may be well founded and at other times they are based on ignorance of the sport.  I know many horsemen have doubts about other horsemen but have no proof either. I'm not merntioning any names, but I'd guess a high % of horsemen, (owners, trainers, drivers) have doubts about the 4 letter last name guy and a few other high profile horsemen as well.   I still think that if you are really cheating all the time, sooner or later you will be nailed.

CH  You're  right.  Sooner or later they get too cocky or run over someones big money and they are gone, unfortunately by the time that happens we have lost another 1000 bettors.  a common denominater of one commsioner over all racing would put a stop to some of this crap in my opinion.

Too damn bad there isn't a universal set of rules. Every jurisdiction wants their own little feifdom. A rock solid set of rules would make it SOOOO much easier for honest horsemen. The cheaters will always try to scam the rules... and deserve to get burned when they do.
