Fair night last night, let's see what we can do on the evening before the North American Cup!
1- Einstein's Best. Hasn't been beaten in his last four starts and Condren has made it look pretty easy. He's the best play in the first. Play with I'm Drinking Doubles in the exactors.
2- St Lad's Peeper. Hasn't been racing badly, just hasn't been getting some good racing luck. Will box with Request for Parole.
3- Dear Aryss. I like this mare, but she just seems allergic to winning. Hoping that she'll be able to get the job done tonight.
4- Hunch Man. Went absolutely wild last time on the engine and showed something I hadn't seen before - a ton of ability! If he paces like this tonight, he wins for fun. Play with Mittcent Van Gough in the exactors.
5- Prince Clyde. Taking him for a mild upset in here. He shows good speed and if he can blast and get a two hole trip, he may be able to upset. Have a hard time beating the rail horse, but I think it can be done. Box with the 1 in exactors.
6- High Flier. Sucked along last week until he was shown some track and he exploded home in 26:4 to just miss getting his picture taken. Taking him tonight.
7- Hat Trick Honey. First start off the qualifier was just a trip around the track to tighten her up. She'll be ready to go tonight, and I think that she can win off a good trip. Should get decent odds as well.
8- Western Fella. Ships in from Northfield and has put up some great miles over the half mile oval. Should only translate into more speed on the big track.
9- Cluster Hanover. He won't have to go nearly as fast to make the front tonight. Hoping to get more sensible fractions and less of a cowboy drive, and he should be a big contender.
10- Megatron. Returns to the racing wars after a decent but brief year last year. Has a couple of qualifiers under his belt, so should be tight. Taking a shot.
11- Rubi's Prescott. Was a winner last week but was set down.... Auciello has been red hot, so I'm riding the wave.
12- Rural Art. I hate betting Roger Mayotte, but I like this horse. Will throw a couple of bucks down, and hope I'm not wasting them.
