I've been around racetracks my entire life but don't believe I could call a harness race. Very early into the race I would drop horses names and switch to drivers. "Andy Miller sets the pace, but Tetrick is locked on his helmet with tons of pace. Gingras tips at the 5/8ths pole with Campbell in tow..." 4pezz2

Always liked Kurt Becker's race-calls.(now at Keeneland but Red Mile ect) One is ? five?  his calls are good for SB's Tb's and his other calls race-cars!!!

Kurt learned from a great one. His Dad, Carl is as good as they come. Kurt said it's easy... just memorize the names for 2 minutes and forget them and memorize the next batch. My little pigeon brain isn't wired like that. dorkusinterruptus

I could never announce a race either-especially one I had a bet on.

There are some very good announcers out there, and several are members of this site.  thumbsup
