A great card tonight.

Race 1 - a good opener. A tough race but I'm looking for Abelard to have a tough time from the 9 hole.
The 2 entry looks tough with Dynamic Youth dropping in class and Tetrick driving Statesman. The sleeper in the race is Shoobee's Place. He has sneaky speed at both ends of the mile and gets Brennan. If you can get 10-1 or higher play him for the upset.

Race 3 - Pick Four (3/6/9-2/8-1-3/8)
Some heavy chalks in the early pick four but there is a price possibility in the third with Quickwit and Well Built. Quickwit has raced well but has been out of position both starts. Gets Morrill and will be going for the big money at a nice price. Same with Well Built. He gets Sears tonight and that's huge. Let's try to beat the fave here in a 2 yr.old trot race.

Race 5 - hard to look past Bee A Magician. Does well on a big track and gets Sears. Againthat's huge. Not sure if Fran Blucher can carry a whole mile at the Meadowlands. Shows great speed but I think she'll be tired late.

Race 6 - a decent price may be had in My Lady Day. Was much improved going no cover in last. With the favorites Rockingham Park getting the 10 hole and Ideal Helen getting Marcus Miller driving, they're vulnerable. If you can get 10-1 with Miller, take it.

Race 7 - My best bet is Ideal Champ. Has face much better. There should be tons of speed and I'm looking for him to fire late. Emeritus Maximus is a heavy 3 yr old fave going against older horses. That could spell defeat. Panestetic was locked last time and now gets the 9 hole and Callahan. Speed duel a coming. 6W9/2/5
Pick Four (6/9-7/8/9-2/7-1/5)

Race 8 - Your So Vain comes off his 1st start and it was a good one.
Was a good 2 yr. old as well. Miller will have this one ready and in position tonight. The fave Smilin Eli was sick in last when he quit in the last qtr. Let's beat him tonight. 9W7/8/1
Pick 3 (9-2/7-1)

Race 9 the Haughton.
Speed in Hugadragon and Golden Receiver. Does Madonald dare leave for the 7 hole? I think he's better coming off the pace tonight which should be quick. Warrawee should be close to the pace. Can he handle a 1st over trip? I think so. But if Bolt The Duer can follow and get a quick pace, he can win as well.
Foiled Again can get a piece but just doesn't win here. Pet Rock should have beat Sweet Lou in last. He now gets the 9 hole and I can't use him. I think BTD is the wild card and whatever he does in the 1st qtr. will help determine the race.
I'll play Warrawee Needy. 2W7/5/6

Race 10 - The Pace. Will Johnny Rock, Wake Up Peter and Rockin Amadeus all sit in fear of the Captain or will they go for a shot at the money? I think they leave. The Captain is there at the 3/4 but Odds On Equuleus follows and sweeps by late.
Odds On was super in his last and should be even sharper tonight. The Captain is due for a less than gigantic effort and at 1-5 is worth playing against.
1W5/2/3

Good luck to all!!!!!!

Curious as to how the track will play tonight after the rain last night.  The real question is whether speed will hold.

Here goes:

R1 - 7,2     1,4($)     3
R2 - 2,7     1     8
R3 - 2,7     4($),9($)    3
R4 - 2    1,8     5,6
R5 - 1,3($)     5,7     8,11,4
R6 - 1,10,9    8     3,7
R7 - 2,4,9     7    6
R8 - 9,7,1      8,10      12,11,6,4
R9 - 2,3,5     7($),9     4($),6
R10 - 5,2,1     4,9,8($)
R11 - 2,1     3     6,4,7

Random thoughts:

Race 3 - ANGELS RANSOM trotted a 27.2 first quarter, much too fast.  Could hit the ticket at a price if he rates better.

Race 6 - ROCKINGCAM PARK and FIYONCE draw outside posts.  If an upset is coming, it's probably here.

Race 8 - ROYALTY FOR LIFE trotted a 1:51.3 qualifier!  He wins if he stays flat.  I thought SPIDER BLUE CHIP was huge last week, showing good speed at both ends.  I like him a lot tonight despite the Purple Jesus opting off for a Takter horse.

Race 9 - Lots of speed in this race, but with GOLDEN RECEIVER inside the other speed, someone is getting parked out tonight.  WARRAWEE NEEDY and SWEET LOU look tough tonight.  I think BOLT THE DUER could trip out tonight and win.  It'll really depend on how well speed holds because GOLDEN RECEIVER doesn't take well to pressure and the front end could collapse.

Race 10 - SUNSHINE BEACH looked awesome with Brennan aboard, but CAPTAINTREACHEROUS has been unbelievable.  If you're looking for a price to hit the board, I think it might be BEACH MEMORIES, especially if speed doesn't hold.  Check the track bias.

Race 11 - NOVASCOTIA HANOVER had a nice qualifier against WAKE UP PETER.  Danger!

Good luck!

What a mile by Royalty For Life!   sla

Brian Sears seems to do a decent job getting one to the wire first at the Big M. Sat chilly in the sulky coming home in 27 and change...in a $294,000 race.
