Jack Nicklaus, the brilliant young golfer who has captured the Masters, the PGA and the World Series of Golf this year, became a co-owner of the Amortizor-Silver Lassie 2-year-old, Bervaldo, recently. A regular race-goer at Scioto Downs when he is in his native Columbus, Ohio, Nicklaus and his partners, trainer-driver Bill Evilsizor and Columbus veterinarian Dr. Lowell Ripley have applied for registration of The Golden Bear Stables. Bervaldo, which qualified at Freehold in 2:102/5, is currently awaiting his first start at the Willi-am Penn meeting at Liberty Bell Park.
