I'm beginning to think the horse was never injured. It was a bullshit story made up after the owner and the Doherty chick found out Mr. Raber got the horse going forward. I think they tried to scam him out of a legitimate purchase. Why else would they go to such great lengths to cover up who the horse Wendi gave to in the first place.
I think the whole story is one big scam because they wanted a horse back that was dumped due to poor performance. The horse is obviously fine. Case closed.

The horse is absolutely not lame. He started a minimum of 20 lengths behind the field.  Actually raced very good, and I still would not know Marvin Raber if I walked into him.

The horse looks like he is a handful. Outrider led him to the gate, but she never got him anywhere near at the start.
