I had a pork sammy for you, Hal. Talked on the phone with mo doc n while I was there, but he was busy racing one, so we never hooked-up. Homer won easy with another nice trotting baby, rode back to the barns with his wife Connie. Nice to see her again. Robert Taylor was 1-2 in his elimination. Ronnie Gillespie's stock was a little sub-par (for him) today. Joel Smith's 'Fox Valley Touche' put in a monster effort in the ICF mares in 1:50.4, with a last qtr in 25.4.

I was glad my truck wasn't towed from the barn area... couldn't buy a parking sticker, because the ever charming Doc Narotsky wouldn't allow any parking passes to be sold after 12 noon. Then he wouldn't talk to me. He's always such a sweetie.

Left before the races were over, (which I've never done) 'cause I'm nursing a shoulder injury that wakes me up everytime I move it in my sleep. Then the medicine makes me nauseous. I'll bounce back... I'm 3 feet tall and bullet-proof. Come down sometime Hal and I'll buy you a sammitch.

That guy has the personality of a wet noodle!
I might make it down next Thursday for the final day of racing.  Haven't  been there in a few years.
Always spent time in Springfield as part of my job before I retired, so I spent a lot of time there.
The way things are going, who knows how long the racing will continue there.

That's what happens when you have to load your own horses and trailer and carry your own cooler and

open your own beers, now you know how my shoulders feel.  noway

js,

Off the record ~ we couldn't get a passs either and we were there @ 11:30 but the Springfield group who is handling the passes let. We talked to a State Patrol officer and he told us as long as you are not in a handicapzone you will not be towed so please stop by Barn 40 (ironically across from the race office) and say hi to
Clark Fairly, Steve Searle and the Pauls are stabled there.

The loud speakers are LOUD so try to use your phone during the post parade and race rflmao1

Roy hit the stirrup in the race bike and broke but he wouldn't have been more than 4th or 5th anyway no where near making the final, Homers Monster "Semper Fit"  goes in 1:57 and change :o

We are in the condition NW1 for 2year old trotters on Thursday

Clark, Steve, and the Pauls are all my friends. Would love to get back over Thurs if things allow. Either way, best of luck! You were in super tough Fri, should have a lot better shot next out. Regardless of of the outcome enjoy the experience.
