Vivid Photo's overall performance in 2012 has been so sad--1 win in 8 starts for $6,500--that Hammer finally recognized that he's done enough. The gritty winner of 49 races and almost $3.3 million will be retired at a special ceremony at Pocono on Saturday June 23, the same day as the Earl Beal Jr Trot.
