As we near the wire, there are two Senators who can possibly be convinced to
vote in favor of SB 1849 (the gaming bill).
They are on opposite ends of the state and have many horsemen in their
respective districts.
1) The first is Senator Mike Jacobs. He is from the Quad City area. This
bill mandates that racing will return to the Quad City Downs. Phone calls
to his office can only help convince him to vote for the bill.

2) The second is Senator Ron Sandack. He is from the Downers Grove area.
We should have many horsemen and owners near his district. When we met with
him yesterday, he showed great interest in and sympathy for horse racing in
Illinois. Calls to his office would be very helpful in my opinion. If you
don't live in his district, please think of anyone you know that might live
there.
