Have been playing fantasy golf for years.  Every year I get in this giant Master's pool.  You select a team of 5 from groupings based on the world rankings. Most money won in the event  determines the winner.  The top rank golfer or two are usually handicapped. If you take Rory, for example, you might. Only g et70% of his winnings.  There are over a 1000 entries in the contest.  A few years ago I came in 7th and won $1,000 for that.  It is now an invitational contest.  It got too big. Post your sleepers here!

My guess is the cat calls from the gallery are starting to subside..I know he took a lot of heat from some of the gallery's in some of the "not so prestige" events...He's old news.I agree with Amy,let the kid be the next big thing in golf.....

Post your sleepers here!

A few sleepers for your Masters pleasure:

Tim Clarke, Zach Johnson, Justin Rose, Brandt Snedeker & Peter Hanson.

You can throw out nearly a 1/3 of the field because they are too young or too old.

Several other great ball strikers who virtually cannot win because of their putters: Charles Howell III, Bubba Watson, Martin Laird & Sean O'Hair.

And great putters who don't win majors: Stricker, Jacobson, Donald & Poulter.

Simple golf ignorance.  Tiger carries 3 times the size of anyone's gallery & brings attendance & ratings up sky high.

Rory is not an American & while he is likeable, he'll never have the kind of star power Tiger does.  Tiger is far, far from old news.  While Phil is still around, this is a very exciting time for the PGA .

Thanks. I will throw Justin Rose from the list.. I had high hopes for him a few yerars ago but now have given up on him.
Tiger has had injury issues and I'm not sure he will be 100%  I know that he has won when not 100%, but each year older you get the less likely that is.  I've seen him play live many times going back to when he was an amateur.
(That means I've seen him knock a few tee markers with his driver rflmao1, I love it when pro golfers get pissed. . Now the golfers are ristricted because of the TV cameras being just about everywhere.  But , Corey Pavin can throw a club about as far as anyone and several must have been in the Navy because they sure can blister your ears with salty language! rflmao1 rflmao1)

We've been watching Justin for 15 years & he's only 31!  Wrong time to give up on him - he's just learning how to close out tournaments.  I thought he did everything heady at Doral to win a few weeks ago which is fairly new for him.

He's not really a dark horse here but I do believe he's got as good a chance to win a major as Lee Westwood or Luke Donald, the worst #1 the tour's ever had.

The Masters itself will almost surely be a let down as so many in the media are building up expectations of an epic battle between Tiger, Phil & Rory.  Epic battles developed in 1975 & 1986 (both won by Jack) but is still unlikely.

Never said he was not the best.I know he brings the crowds,i know he has the largest gallery's,and i know he may be the best golfer on the planet..I also know he has had some hecklers following him around for most of last year....I was saying that most of that has worn off and he is zeroing in.I'm sorry that you get so upset so quickly Dolfan.I'm sure if you go see your doctor,he'll have some meds for that. :-) redrose <<<peace offering.. :-*

I know what you mean, scojer; I don't care at all for Kyle Bush as a person, but he can drive the hell out of a racecar and is good for the NASCAR scene. I'm no Tiger fan, but he's very good for the sport of golf.

Big win for Tiger !

Bad day for Ernie Els needed to finish 3rd to make the Masters. Now he needs to win next week..

Ratings are going to be high for The Masters.

All the Hoopla about Ernie playing his way in all day was TIRESOME!!!!!!!!

It's an INVITATIONAL Tournament........and he's getting an Invitation......There is NO DOUBT about that...........

No need but thanks anyway.

I'm just passionate about golf as I am about the NFL & harness racing.  Really didn't mean to jump down anyone's throat.  Sorry if I went too far as I often do.
