Cal Expo 2/4

Probably talking to myself, but what the hell...

Remember, usually not a lot of value early in the card because all the small fields are carded early, more value later on.

Race 1: Wide open bad field of bottom level horses, but #7 Wild About Eagle may have found a field she can finally beat, no value though.

Race 2: Looks like a Meadowlands double when #4 Putoneonnetformom wins.

Race 3: #5 Yiannoulas Boy gets a great trip here, and gets it done again.  Enought speed to make his late brush good enough.

Race 4: #4 Red Star Wild One is in a good spot here, usually good in this class.

Race 5: #3 Ivegotwhatuneed looks to be rounding to form, so I think he gets the job done.

Race 6: #4 Larry Horse raced well against the very tough 5-6 claimers, should get a good trip in the pocket tonight.

Race 7: #1 Leadmeastray comes right back to win again at another decent price.

Race 8: #3 Jeff The Builder was used hard last week, should get an easier trip this week and that should make the difference.

Race 9: #8 Acapulco Gold just needs to leave for position...horse is getting better and may win at a nice price, or may get beat a length and win at 2-1 next week.  Will take my chance this week.

Race 10: #6 Little Box Out, short-priced favorite that hasn't seen this lower level in a long time, hard to look past.

Race 11: #4 Enemy Lines, always bet a horse that goes from Karen Isbell to Luke Plano, no matter what the odds.  Not much in this field.

Race 12: #2 Mighty Fine Hi Ho finished with good pace last week, enough early speed here gives him a big shot.

Race 13: #4 Dreaming Of Amy gets post position advantage over #7, makes her a winner in my book.

Race 14: #2 El Grande Real, taking a shot here, horse isn't usually very good, but after a week when he shows speed and stops, he is usually better, and he gets Luke back tonight, so could be a live long shot.

Race 15: #1 Diamond Player looks like a chalk, single to end the late pick-4.
