O/T Strange weather continues

They said we were to have a very bad weather in the Chicagoland area before it even started.
I wonder if these same people make the ML'S at WEG ?  rflmao1
Anyways on Friday we are hit with 6-9 inches depending on where you are.(Glad pezz got to make mucho dinero)Everyone working on clearing themselves a path and now 2 days later after a night of rain and temps in the 40's the snow is mostly gone
We have about a week to go in Jan and have yet to have one of our infamous below zero stretches(not complaining) we'll probabaly set a record for least amount of snow in the month.
The moral of this story ?
If you got young ones to raise put them in the weather forecasting business.Just like baseball you can make a decent living beiing right less than 30% of the time and last longer doing it.

Last week it was 4 degrees... some idiot left the manhole cover off a water shut-off vault and froze the water supply to all the horse barns. Took all day to get it thawed out.

Fast-forward one week: Last night we had a thunderstorm, complete with tornado warnings. Awoke to 50 degree morning. Wouldn't surprise me if it's +60 or minus  -10 tonight. Typical IL weather.

I've been saying that to my wife but afraid to post it because as soon as I do it'll get to -50 that night

with 3 feet of snow  rflmao1 This is maybe one of the mildest winters I remember and below is what

they were predicting.

When Arizona gets tornados, something is not right with the world! Also read that Nevada, Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho are experiencing a winter drought of no snowfall.

Sprinkling here right now, but we need a lot of water. 4pezz2

To the north and south of Delaware  there wasn't  an inch  of snow.  Delaware got 6-8.  It rained most of the night , snow all gone and we just had a windy thunderstorm that probably dropped at least 3/4 " or more.  Water running everywhere.  fields flooded. and north and south of us just a few sprinkles.  Very strange winter.  But since I hate the cold & snow I'm not complaining.  I just hope the damn snow don't show up in March and April. :(

Sounds like a nightmare for Track Man Extraordinare. Especially when the water roars across the track heading into the last turn. Track guys look for things like that... our last turn is my big headache, always.

Trackmanextraordinaire stayed at track when we got home from Northfield at 2:15 am.  It was way too muddy to attempt to work it before we left at 4:30 to go race.  so he is trying to see if he can do something with it now. when we left all the hoofprints were filled with water but when I pulled out at 2:30 am I didn't see any water laying but sure looked wet.  I'm sure he will have something done with it by the time the sun comes up. 36 is all the colder it got and suppose to be in 40's tomorrow.  weird weather.
