Well after having a poor weekend, going to try my luck again at Mohawk on Monday, here's what I like on tonight's card:
1- Mystical Wishes. Ships in from Balmoral coming off a win in 57, and adds lasix. Should be a top contender in this maiden group.
2- Mego Moss. This is a pretty good group of preferred trotters, and MM has been pretty consistent in this class. Trotted right there his last couple of starts and it feels like he's sitting on a win soon.
3- Brookdale Shadow. Nice filly that's been racing well but not finding the wire first... Seems to be doing a lot of good things and Dr Ian Moore has been red hot lately. I think she beats these.
4- Fiery Jet. Ships in from Rideau Carleton for the potent one two punch of Moreau/Filion. Colt hasn't been worse than second in his last 4 starts, so he does have some talent, and they usually go faster for Moreau. Box with Jiggle It.
6- Mittcent Van Gough. Has raced very well in his last two starts, with two very sharp second place finishes to show for his efforts. I think he gets the win tonight, box with Kindofabigdeal in the exactors.
7- Thankyoukessel. Very consistent type that races for a high percentage trainer... This horse doesn't win a lot but is always there and heard from at the end... Came home in 27 and change in his last start to take third. Should be a top contender in this class.
8- Brescia Seelster. First start last week off of a long lay off and two qualifiers and she paced in 53... She'll be sharper this week and should give a much better accounting of herself.
10- Danica Patrix. Really consistent filly that's coming from the powerful Menary barn and gets Jamieson's services. That's good enough for me.
