WASHINGTON, PA, July 1, 2013 — Run And Tell Pap made it two straight when he quarter-poled to the lead and rolled to a convincing victory in Monday’s $18,000 Preferred Trot at The Meadows.
Away third, Run And Tell Pap moved crisply to the lead for Dave Palone and never allowed the challengers outside to threaten. He scored in 1:53.2, matching his lifetime mark, 1-1/2 lengths ahead of the rallying Bettis. Early leader TSM Photo Bugger saved show.
Ron Burke trains the 6-year-old High Falls-Adele’s Jade gelding, who now boasts $367,621 in career earnings, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and M1 Stable.
Palone drove five winners — including three for Burke — on the 15-race card while Mike Wilder fashioned a triple.
