Warrawee Needy Qualifies in 1:49.2

Warrawee Needy, who is getting ready for the Upper Canada Cup eliminations at Georgian Downs in nine days, qualified for JJ in 1:49.2 at Mohawk this morning. The splits were: :28 :55 1:22.3 and home in :26.4. He was up by ten at the quarter, fifteen at the half and thirty-one at the end.

Warrawee Needy raised some eyebrows last year when he won his first start at Mohawk in early June. JJ drove him to a two length win in 1:53.1, with Needy pacing his last quarter in :25.2.
He won his second start by seven in 1:51.4.

WN won 9 of 12 last year, never straying from the OSS. His most memorable loss was the trip from hell Carl Jamieson subjected him to in the $300,000 Battle of Waterloo.
