I was at the game in Oakland years ago and went to HR Derby. Sat in the left field bleachers and got a ball hit by McGwire or Canseco, can't remember which, took it home and let my kids play ball with it.

CyberChamp is right, the crowd goes nuts for home team players.

I have a gelding who identifies as a mare. Ever since we castrated him.

Maybe the race office will let me enter him in a Filly and Mare race.

This state is so f*cked up it really is beyond belief. It's now clear why there was not a sale while they were still racing. Why would anyone buy a track with the intention of racing and agree to never have slots?

The Heidner bid was not accepted by the Court, since the riverboat attorneys demanded that he stipulate that he would never seek gaming on the property. So he withdrew his bid and the HITS (horse show) group was awarded the property since they were willing to stipulate they would never seek gaming.

Looks like a dead issue as far as a comeback as a racetrack is concerned.
