Nice job, Mags! I see you had a few good winners tonight.  bowdown

It's a shame that Gural has taken a Meadowlands loyalist like me and driven me away. The product there is so bad and the fields are too small to be competitive. While we are at it, let's also make the surface appear 3 seconds faster so that the B track garbage look like superstars.  When a qualifier is clocked in 1:48 flat and Eric Abbatiello (nothing against him personally) wins a race in sub-1:49, something isn't right (btw, congrats Eric).  Can't wait until Pace night when the winner goes 1:44.3.  noway

There was a time when 95% of my play went to M1. It's been 10% at best this season and it's still declining. What a joke.

East Rutherford, NJ --- The following is Meadowlands Chairman Jeff Gural’s response to owner Bruce Trogdon, who has blamed Gural’s out-of-competition testing rules for not supplementing his top 3-year-old colt Fear The Dragon to the $700,000 Crawford Farms Meadowlands Pace on July 15.

“While we can appreciate Mr. Trogdon's position, everyone else has accepted the terms of our out-of-competition testing program and is ready to race. We host nearly $12 million in stakes races at the Meadowlands and no other harness track produces nightly wagering handle at our level. We achieve all of this without purses that are inflated by money from alternative gaming. Most importantly, we care about the integrity of our races, especially our signature events. If that makes us a "B Track" as Mr. Trogdon alleges, I would like to know what an "A Track" is.”

The least they can do is add 2-3 high quality races per card. They can't even do that. A $13K purse for a feature isn't much of a feature.

The quality is so bad that it's no longer handicapping, it's guesswork.  The low level stock is so inconsistent.

As an experiment, I capped the weekend's cards, built my tickets, but didn't wager a dime. I'm glad I didn't play. In fact, I even struggled to make the effort to even read through the god awful past performances. It was that bad; like mining for dimes in a field of shit.

I guess they will proceed with this model since they are losing money and they still seem to draw a respectable handle despite the lack of quality. Unfortunately, they won't see any more of my money.

Totally understand how the drivers and trainers feel that racing at the Meadowlands is like playing at Yankee Stadium.

Unfortunately, the Bad News Bears are on the field.

Jazz and I were there recently.

Book yourself. If you join Total Rewards, you can get discounts. We got a comped room, less "resort fees" at Harrah's.

I've never enjoyed playing at Bellagio or some of the big casinos. Definitely get more "love" from the house at the smaller places.

Harrah's has always been good to me. Great location, center strip. I enjoy playing there.

For the discount player, Casino Royale gives you a lot of play for your dollar. Nothing fancy, but an energetic customer base that makes the atmosphere fun.

Lots of food value in Vegas, especially downtown. Don't be afraid to spend a good buck on high end food; it's cheaper than gambling and the food is worth talking about.

Shuttle bus rides to and from airport are cheap.

Your money is good everywhere. Don't force yourself to keep playing at a place that isn't fun or doesn't respect you.

Good luck!
