Buffalo raceway Mar 30
Race 1 #4 Clearly Possessed pays $4.20
Race 2 #2 Ideal Miss pays $29.80
DD 4-2 returned a paltry 2.70 for a $2 bet
It turns out a bettor made an error while making his bet.
Now I have heard it all.

If I saw the will pays, I would have bet the #2 at 14-1 thinking someone must know something to make the double only pay $2.70

Maybe some did bet the 13-1 shot. We'll never know.
I just don't understand as to who would bet $4328 straight in a pool of $4383 no matter what the odds of the horses.
Sounds fishy to me

Thought Yeah Baby might of had a few too many Coor Lights!

4383 straight double??
What a weird number. You'd be sweating pretty hard on that one coming in wouldn't you?
-
The pool was probably entered into the computer program as 60,000 instead of 6000. Full article posted below, btw.
Nothing fishy at all. Parham is a full time gambler with a staff that actually runs these program wagers.

Not if the guy is rich. Its very easily to manipulate the odds at some of the smaller tracks with smaller pools. Remember the odds on the board are for the win bet only. I know at Rosecroft. The win pool is much much lower than the exacta and triple pools so this happens sometimes.

I don't know of other tracks, but that is generally the case with Woodbine also. Unless of course if it is San Pail running on whom the pro bridge jumpers bet a whopping over 200 grand to win last time he ran as there was no show or place betting on him.
He won of course and the BJs collected their 5% profit but not before Windsong Geant gave them a good scare by running huge in that race by parking out another horse into a 25.4 first qtr and into a 54.4 half and losing by just 1 length to San Pail.
One BJ on another forum declared that he won't be betting San Pail again if he is running with WG next time out.
