Title: o.t. This pisses me off!
Post by: brownjug1 on October 26, 2011, 04:22:36 AM: I am not normally a violent person but would love to meet the ones responsible for this in an alley just one time. This man used to own Hollys farm before his wife passed away, one hell of a good old guy! He has a broken jaw, cracked skull and one eye knocked out of the socket!

When I got out of high school, I joined a park district baseball league that played every Sunday morning. One of my teamates was a Chicago cop. He was 6'5", 240 lbs and looked like he was chiseled out of granite.
One Sunday he shows up at the game with both of his hands in casts.
He had answered a call to a rape in progress. Some low life was attacking a 75 yr old lady. The "suspect" fled when he saw him coming and he gave chase. The guy tries to hide under a porch and he went in after him. He resisted arrest and my teamate had to pummel him senseless to subdue him, breaking both of his fists.

Very nice thoughts...
However, some people are just bad..No matter if they have had all or none of the benefits of society ...
Bad people do bad things..Too often the fixation on root causes overshadows the act and result thereof.
Recently here, in Bridgeport(old Mayor Daley's neighborhood) a 73 year-old still working nurse) was beaten to DEATH while parking her car in her own garage..
I am sure that the culprits were just victims of societal misdeeds and of course will use that as a defense for this heinous act.

Great thinking, that way the ones that have Alzheimer's can shoot their family and friends when they don't recognize them in the house.

I know all the arguments for the criminals having guns..........but what are the statistics of criminals being shot by armed citizens compared to armed citizens accidentally shooting an innocent person? Or armed citizens shooting each other at Little League games over bad calls or at down town parking lots over spaces? How about children accidentally shooting each other.

I don't think the framers of the constitution could be aware of what the future held..........they just wanted to make sure wee were protected from the bloody British.

or worthless it is just ask the dude at the otb who took my program and pen

Sleeping pills are a helluva drug, especially when you combine them with alcohol. Drug companies are open about this, which is why commercials say stuff like, "Do not take Ambien if you have been drinking, and do not operate heavy machinery. I'd never want your rights taken away JS.......hell if I did that my dad would shoot me.............wait, that didn't sound right.

I do think there can be some tightening of the laws.............BUT my biggest argument is with those who think more guns means less crime.........I'm FIRM in my position that this is ludicrous.
