I hope the drivers had an extra set of colors, 'cause the ones they were wearing gotta be a little brown.

The one driver on the left almost lost his head due to the gate!   :o

I could only think of two things when I saw this. First, thank God I was not the guy steering the car, and second, I could hear the grandstand goofs saying, " my f**king horse stopped dead near the last turn.

Never saw a gate do a 180 before. One night at Maywood the gate gunned away from the field at the start on a slick track and didn't make the turn and crashed through the outside fence and onto driveway below. Glad I wasn't along for that ride.

That is what happens when you race on the grass going the wrong way.
Glad to hear horse or driver was injured
