I too like the show a lot. I heard about this earlier. I don't know what to say except I hope it doesn't happen again.

Wow I really didnt liek it after seeing the first few episodes.
The ratings for the show have been low for HBOs standards. But critics love it. So it is already signed up for year 2. I already wasnt watching this just confirms I am making the right decision.

It is tragic that horses have died. It is sad that it happens everyday across the the USA and world wide.
I have watched the show and I like it.
I have noticed several flaws in the show (pick 6 payouts were different in different scenes, one of the races had 8 horses and they showed the 12 running, etc) but that is beside the point.
How are the horses getting hurt? As the article stated "An AHA representative was on set when both accidents happened." I did not see that they faulted anyone for the horses being hurt.
It looks like they use Santa Anita for a lot of the scenes. Did the AHA make sure that the track was in the proper condition? I did not see anything mentioned.
Just curious about the story.
