Many of you have heard of the school shooting in Chardon, Ohio this AM. I have mentored their girls soccer coach for the last several years (all of her girls are okay) and the Principal was the athletic director who gave me my first head coaching job. I nearly took the job out there at his request a few years back.
One dead and four injured, two critically, at this point. Prayers for the community, please.

Definitely in our prayers. redrose

Every extra thought I've had has went to God today.........I was listening first thing this morning when the news broke about the shooting in a high school cafeteria and I immediately thought of my three high school kids sitting in their school cafeteria at the exact same time........it's heartbreaking.............our God-less schools have become death traps for our children.

This one is going to get very interesting when all is said and done.

I turned the news off this morning vowing not to turning it back on again for the rest of the week............then word spread of the third boy passing..........I turned the news back on just in time to see pictures of three smiling teenage boys, one black two white, all being well spoken of by teachers as having bright futures.........and I lost it.
What are we doing to our children?

What are we doing to our children?
Hard to lay blame at this time but I always point at the parents and the lack of training and involvement
in their children's life. I guess all we can do is pray for all the children.

I do too.........and maybe I am laying too much on them.........but I just can't help but wonder what kind of hell this child was in to commit such a horrific crime.
