Not sure how much was the Giants good play or the Packers poor play but a loss is still a loss.
Now I will be rooting for a Harbaugh family Super Bowl.

The Patriots are the beneficiaries of perfect timing when it comes to health. Mankins and Vollmer were back on the O-Line last night, helping keep Brady Upright, and their defensive signal caller, Eugene Chung, was back at safety. They also got Brandon Spikes back at inside linebacker, where he will be a big help neutralizing Ray Rice

Brees & Rodgers gone, Brady left. Nobody could "see" 49ers or Giants outscoring Saints or Packers either. Both games are toss ups.
BTW, yeah, Pats sure are lucky they won all those games while those guys were injured. Also worked out that Patrick Chang, the great tennis player was back helping Eugene Chung!

Once again, a team takes basically 3 weeks off and comes out Flat.....you would think after several years of examples of this happening.....they would stop this practice....but noooooo

You would think people would look at what the colts did in those years and say hey we can't do that

WTF was up with that 1st onside kick ?
On another note somewhere in the last few yrs I commented on how I liked Eli and was bashed repeatedly for it.
Gotta give the guy some cred he has matured into a very good QB

it showed big time panick by mccarthy. At the same time it didn't hurt them since the Giants didn't score.

When the on side kick works, you're a genius (see Sean Payton). When it doesn't, it results in the same thing as a turnover. Going for it on 4th & 5 was a bad decision, I thought. That was closer to the word "desperation" than the onsider, IMO.
Totally agree with Colts angle. A bye week is great, 2 weeks off for the QB is not. Rodgers & receivers all played their worst game. Hard to go 15-1 & then get eliminated that fast.

Tross, first off sorry about the pack.
I still think the pack wasn't going back to the SB. It seemed to me, they never fixed there Achilles heel "the defense" . All season they out scored everyone, but didn't stop anyone. The day came that the offense sputtered, the umpteen dropped balls, no run game, Rodgers being just a little off, and in the end there defense was just bad, as it was all season unable to make a stop.
I myself wanted to see the pack go back to back, but in the back of my mind ,I knew that the way they played defensively it was only a matter of time.
Good thing is the offense is set, just need to draft and pick up free agents to fix the defense and your back in the SB next year!!!

That same Achilles heel jumped up to bite the Patriots, right?
Packers lost that game for many reasons but 6 turnovers & minus 5 in turnovers (include onsider & 4th & 5 failure) will ALWAYS lose the game.

New England will lose this week to Baltimore. The Pats only beat teams with 500 or losing records all year. Who did they beat in 2nd rd. Oh yeah. Denver !
Enough said. There defense will rear there ugly head too.
